Communities share common struggles, resources and goals.  This cannot be more relevant than in response to a disaster.  When millions are affected, individuals can often feel alone and unsupported. Relief organizations usually have no choice but to see the people statistics and inevitably some people are passed by.  However, solidarity within a community can offer people a way to share in their grief, come up with creative solutions to unforeseeable problems, and build a resilient model for reconstruction and preparedness for the future.

How we do it:

1. All of our projects are organized by community and designed to strengthen the bond and resilience of the people within a community by uniting them in their mission to persevere and rebuild.

2. By empowering communities to help themselves and their neighbors we believe we are helping to create self-organizing units of manageable operations that increase the efficacy of intended results.
